This release is a big one. With a lot of help from Kurax, the whole searching functionality has been re-written to enable searching where you don't know the exact name of the item. Type 'Elixir' in the search box and you will see what I mean. Also, all Arena Season 4 and profession items are now included.

v4.04.01 is now available with many fixes and corrections from Patch 2.4. We have also upgraded to Babble 3.0, so if you are using the mod without embedded libraries, remember to grab the latest Babble.

Patch 2.4 is here, so of course there is another AtlasLoot. It should work fine with the new Atlas 1.11, and we have added all known loot from the new instances. Crafted items are also now in their own LoD module.

You have all been asking for it, now I can FINALLY deliver it. That's right, the wishlist is now available in AtlasLoot v4.03.00. Instructions available in the release notes and when you first boot up the new version.

Here are some interesting facts about AtlasLoot, as compiled by Hegarol.

We have come a long way. If I could add a statistic of my own, AtlasLoot has received through your generosity approximately AU$150 in donations since the mod was released, which has paid for the atlasloot.net domain name and most of the atlasloot.net bandwidth. Thanks very much to everyone who has contributed, I do this in my free time and it is great that you guys let me do it with minimal out-of-pocket expenses.

As well as more tweaks for Atlas 1.10.3, this version of AtlasLoot adds two new slach commands. The first is /atlasloot reset, which can be used to reset AtlasLoot to a 'safe' loot table after you get disconnected. This shouold help the people getting disconnected again as soon as they open AtlasLoot after a disconnect. The second one is /atlasloot options which opens up the options screen with you having to open any other part of AtlasLoot. Again, this is to help people who get disconnected, so that they can turn off AutoQuery after persistant disconnects.

Ok guys and girls, this is a biggy! This release adds all the Patch 2.3 goodies like Zul'Aman and Arena Season 3 as well as some mod changes. For example, the options menu has been given a revamp and a new option you can turn on that automatically queries the server for items, so that you don't have to right click everything aftere every server downtime. There have been a couple of people getting disconnected by it even though Blizz says it shouldn't happen, so if it happens to you, just open up the AtlasLoot options screen from the minimap button and turn off the autoquery while you switch to a different loot page. See the changelog for a complete list of changes. A big shoutout to Hegarol and Celellach for the work they got done without either of them having an active WoW account right now!

Update for Atlas 1.10.2.

Patch day is here folks and you know what that means....update day! This update included Pre-60 Battleground items, more World Events and more BoE Epics

Released to work with Atlas 1.10.1. English and German should be fine (or very close to it) but I may have to release an update with tweaks for other languages. The version sees the addition of BoE World Epics and the World Event section greatly expanded.

UPDATE: v4.01.03 has a minor French and German update.

Big update for Atlas 1.10 with all the changes Dan has made there. All the Patch 2.2 changes we could easily find have been incorporated for this release as well as adding a 'World Events' section for stuff like the STV Fishing Comp. Finally I have added some more options with the LoD Modules. You can now load them all at once with a click of a button or load them all at once on startup, which is handy for people who have older machines that pause very slightly when a new module loads.

This is the big memory management release. Where possible, memory usage has been cut and Load on Demand datasets have been introduced. Basically this means that all the AtlasLoot data will only be loaded when you need it to.

French and German bugfixes.

Small bugfix for the new saved variables system.

Lots of little changes in this version. The TK Legendaries are re-instated with their own section, owing to the fact they can only be used in the Kael'thas fight. The Rep factions have been re-organised in the Atlas menu structure and pretty much all PvP prices are up-to-date. You can now disable the text spam generated with right-clicking items and I have moved a couple of UI objects around, most noteably the 'Back' button is now at the bottom of the loot tables.

Note that due to switch to AceDB for saved variables, you will be prompted to re-select your options next time you log in.

This update has all the new PvP goodies for Patch 2.1.2 as well as a lot of little updates all over the place. Also, Equipcompare support is back in, if you have it installed and enabled, AtlasLoot will use it. If not, it will fall back to the Blizzard method.

This version adds support for Blizzard's new item comparison API (no EquipCompare required) as well as a few bug fixes, loot updates and change to accomodate corrections in Babble.

Fixed a bug in the search function, corrected numerous typos, etc and another big Trad. Chinese update from Arith.

I thought I would take a break from the unrelenting list of minor AtlasLoot revisions to highlight a book written by Dan Gilbert (Atlas author) with Jim Whitehead (Clique). As you guys know I am very supportive of Dan's work with Atlas and this is no different. The title is a little unfortunate (Blizzard would not be happy with any 'hacking'!), it is part of a series of 'Hacking ...' books from the publisher, but this book tries to cover a lot of quality UI Mods, what they do and where you can get them. It also gives a feel for the WoW API and how to make UI mods of your own. From the back:

World of Warcraft is your world. You are fearless. You are in command. And when you can command these awesome addons, macros, and customizations, you'll savor the heady brew of victory. From the masters who gave us Atlas and PerfectRaid/Clique, you’ll learn how to gain an advantage in combat, write spell casting macros, work with frames and XML, develop Lua scripts that work with the WoW API, and more.

Yeah, they’re legal. But don’t let that hold you back.

What's inside:

  • Evaluate your performance in battle with combat statistics
  • Add instance maps, and make notes on the World Map
  • Rearrange everything onscreen and monitor your vitals with an HUD
  • Make gold “playing” the Auction House
  • Have whispers open in their own window like an IM client
  • Overhaul your interface with pre-packaged compilations
  • Create two fully functional addons from start to finish

If you are interesting in Mods at all, this book looks worth a read. You can find it on Amazon.com here.

If you have a translation update, loot correction or bug fix, feel free to to jump on the Ace SVN and submit it for the next release. This project is very time consuming, so the more helpers the better! If you have a more major change, I definately want to know about it and I would prefer for you to let me know or send a proposed change to me before you commit is so I can look at it before it gets integrated into the mod.

Fixed up a Lootlink issue and changed the method for creating chat links.

Trad. Chinese update and a large number of loot updates and fixes.

Fixed the Trad. Chinese bug and a number of minor updates.

This update fixes a bug in the Terokkar Forest World PvP table and has a lot of minor updates.

This version has some French and Spanish updates as well as minor loot corrections. Thanks to KKram, nekromant and geran for helping find the issues.

The menus in the loot browser should preserve their state now when you open and close the window. They should only reset now when you log out. Also included some files from KKram that should fix up some issues for French, it's not translated yet, but it shouldn't crash as often.

Fixes a possibility where someone with a tainted interface coulb be spammed with errors.

Just a quick update for Atlas 1.9.1.

Hot on the heels of v2.04 we have v3.00. I know the timing seems a little crazy, but 2.04 was 'done' for over 2 months, I just couldn't release until Atlas was ready. All the Patch 2.1 data is in AL v3.00, so it seems appropriate to release it now. PLEASE note that I have not received French or Korean translations, and as such you should continue to use v2.04 for now. Sorry about that, but if you are able to send me a translation, I'll put out a point release with the changes ASAP.

There is SIGNIFICANT change in the version, so PLEASE read the change log (on this site or in the 'Documentation' folder of the mod) and delete ALL previous AtlasLoot versions and copies of AtlasLootFu.
